First Presbyterian Church of Upland is a congregation of 500 members. Our membership is richly diverse with people of all ages and many different cultural and ethnic groups involved in every area of church life. Through our ministries, we offer dynamic worship services with biblically based sermons and inspiring music, an outstanding Christian education program for all ages, an extensive pastoral care and counseling program, and a global missions program extending throughout the community and around the world. Founded in 1887, we have a rich history in the western San Bernardino County area. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

We are located in Upland, California, just south of the intesection of Foothill Boulevard and North Euclid Avenue. Free, convenient parking is available on Sunday mornings. Our building is accessible to those who are in wheelchairs, and we provide hearing devices for worship services.

First Presbyterian Church of Upland is a member church of the Presbytery of Riverside. The Presbytery of Riverside is the corporate expression, the regional organization unity, and the seat of authority of the Presbyterian Church (USA) of all churches and ministers of the Word and Sacrament within Riverside, San Bernardino and a portion of Kern Counties in California.

Non-officially, what the presbytery does in very real and beneficial terms:

• Connects local churches to the national denomination, interfaith efforts and the church universal.
• Strengthens relationships between individuals and local churches within the denomination.
• Creates a support system for ideas and problem-solving.
• Matches churches and pastors in a successful relationships that helps everyone move forward in their spiritual journey.

This Synod attempts to live out this mission by working with its Presbyteries to support them in the development of faith communities, by working consciously to support the development of ministry for and among the racial ethnic components of the diverse population of this Synod, and by engaging in ministries across Presbytery boundaries that have been assigned to the Synod by the Presbyteries or can be most easily done by the Synod as a whole.
